JB's Story
 |
Meet JB!
Jason once was thought of as retarded. He is autistic and non verbal.Up until his second year in high school he was kept in mostly self contained classrooms. The change in his life came when he was introduced to a form of communication called facilitated communication. This is a training program that is teaching him to type independently on a computer. Through this new way of communication he has been able to tell us who he really is, and that he desires to become a minister of the Gospel. He accepted Christ while watching Rev Billy Graham on television.

Jason enjoys writing, Bible study, football (especially the Green Bay Packers!) and also participates in the Special Olympics snowshoeing events.

Jason began his ministry as a means to serve others, and because he needed to find an appropriate job when he became 21. He began writing his newsletter from his home, but after a few months his dad purchased the mobile home next to JB's home for JB to use as an office. A ramp has been added so it is now handicapped accessible.

Today JB has an office in which he can work and hopes to have other individuals with handicaps assist him in circulating his newsletter. His goal is to send over 2000 a week!
